Here comes a blast from the past. Do you remember sabreTV? It was a weekly Hebrew lesson for 20 USD/ month, hosted on Patreon until 2023. It consisted in a weekly transcription of a Hebrew YouTube video. The text came with and without nikud as well as a translation, followed by vocabulary lists.

A couple of days ago I came across a fascinating video, and I was wondering: Do you want these weekly lessons back?

I took out the old version, looked at it with the eyes of someone who had created a successful verb course, and then I put myself to work.

I made some significant changes to the original document:

  • much longer video (and transcription of course)

  • vocabulary lists focussing on verbs

  • NEW: multiple choice questions on the text/ video

  • NEW: verb conjugation exercise

Check it out, and we will be happy to read your feedback.

If we decide to go ahead with it, it will be a monthly subscription for 4 editions. For the moment only in English (why? Read below).

Price: under review (feel free to make suggestions),

Why did we discontinue the lessons in 2023?

Every week, we gave out the lesson in four languages. You asked for it, and we delivered. Happily, of course. But then things changed. My team grew increasingly stressed to keep the weekly rhythm in four languages, while 80% of our students would download the English version.

During the time of the pandemic, Patreon, where he had hosted the material, became more and more aggressive with the commissions it charged from the creators. It became insane.

Summary

We are excited to discuss a new beginning, but we cannot go back to the Hamster wheel we were in. So, for the time being, English will be the teaching language.

Download the new lesson guide (Google Drive), and let us know what you think.
