I cannot stress enough to learn single sentences by heart. But! Only as an additional method, not as a sole approach. When it comes to the verbs, I do not think that learning by heart is an effective method anyway, you must understand the structure, otherwise, you will forget it again the next day. But repeating pre-edited sentences has a lot of benefits.
Why you should learn some sentences by heart
You will notice where you have problems,
what kind of expressions you would have never said the way locals do,
your audio ability will massively increase if you do it the right way (see video below),
your pronunciations will get better
reading Hebrew will become more effortless (hooray!), and
at the same time, you learn vocabulary without even noticing it.

Diese Methode spricht mich sehr an, ich frage mich nur, wann man am besten damit anfängt? Was sollte man drauf haben, um damit zu starten. Lesen? Logisch. Aber wie sieht es mit Vokabular und Grammatik aus? Lernt sich ja eigentlich so nebenbei (wie bei der Birkenbihl-Methode).
Ich "wurstel" mich im Moment durch Pimsleur und Rosetta Stone (neben deinem tollen Verbenkurs) und finde es sooo langweilig ständig imaginäre junge Damen zu fragen, ob sie mit mir essen oder trinken gehen (Pimsleur) oder mir Hüte und Mäntel zu kaufen (Rosetta). An den Verben rumzubasteln macht Spaß und ich kann mir, nach ersten Versuchen, gut vorstellen, daß das rumtüfteln an relevanten Texten auch Spaß macht. Also, wann kann man damit anfangen, wie k…
